YOUR INFORMATION STAYS YOURS
To pay for counseling privately, you are solely responsible for the entire fee. For some families, this is the preferred method of payment, because it allows you to retain control of the privacy of your mental health information.
OUT-OF-NETWORK SUPERBILLS
No insurance is accepted directly at this time. For PPO plans, I can provide a superbill for out-of-network benefits. If you choose to use your health insurance, I am required to provide a diagnosis to the insurance carrier, which becomes part of your permanent medical record.
YOUR RIGHT TO A GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
- 01 You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
- 02 Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy.
- 03 You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
- 04 If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
